Billy Frank Buckner

Billy Frank Buckner, age 66, of 1525 South 5th, died on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 10:00 PM in his home. He was born on December 18, 1943 in LaBelle, MO the son of Granville Clay and Mamie Garr. Mr. Buckner was a retired mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Billy greatly enjoyed fishing and was a fanatic sports fan. His greatest love was his family.

Billy’s survivors include:
A SON: Torrey Buckner
GRANDCHILDREN: Tiya Buckner, Kanu Buckner, and Torrey Buckner II.
HIS FATHER: Granville Clay
SIBLINGS: Nancy Thompson, Jeanna Thompson, Anita Lewis, Sammy Lewis, Evelyn Lewis, Regina Lewis and Eddie Clay.
A host of other family and many friends whose life was touched by Billy also survive.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother Mamie Garr and a brother Granville Clay Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle, MO with military honors conducted by the Lewis County Memorial Post # 578. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
