Beverly Howser

Beverly Howser, age 88, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2637 Manor Hill Dr., died on Sunday, April 7, 2013 in the Home. She was born on June 9, 1924 in Broadus, Montana, the daughter of John & Hallie (Brown) Reese. She married Lee Howser in Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1979.

Mrs. Howser attended schools in Missouri and Montana. She was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ and it’s Salem Singles. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for several years.

Survivors include:
TWO CHILDREN: Ronald Howser and his wife Vicki of Quincy and Nancy Schaller and her husband Jerry also of Quincy.
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Shelly Logsdon and her husband Travis of Kenosha, WI; Kimberly Ebbole and her husband Dean of Gurnee, IL; Chad Howser of Quincy; Kevin Howser and Travis Howser both of St. Louis, MO.
FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Zachary Logsdon, USN of San Diego, CA; and Morgan Logsdon of Kenosha, WI; Danielle and Jayce Ebbole of Gurnee, IL.
ONE SISTER: Virginia Davis of Bakersfield, CA.

Mrs. Howser was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Mildred Christner and Esther Taylor and a brother Edward Reese.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, the American Heart Association, or to the Great River Honor Flight Program
