Beverly Cane

Beverly Cane, age 74, of 1435 Spruce, died on Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Good Samaritan Home. She was born on December 26, 1938 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Ted & Nina (Evans) Platt. She married Donald E. Cane on February 3, 1961 in St. Louis. He survives.

Beverly was a member and Past President of the Women Business Association. She was the Co-owner and Bookkeeper of Cane’s Automotive.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Lynette Thomas and her husband Ed, Dawna Neal and her fiance Doug Greving; Mike Cane and his wife Pam, Sandra Cane, and Tom Cane and his wife Becca
THREE BROTHERS: Ronald Platt and his wife Bev, Doug Platt, and Herbie Platt
THREE SISTERS: Billie Mae Uppinghouse, Shirley Nixon and her husband Butch and Corrine Denton
16 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Arnold “Stub” Platt and Wilbur Platt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Stewart Cemetery, Plainville, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Quanada.
