Betty J. Reeves
Betty J. Reeves, age 89, of Liberty, died on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in her home. She was born on December 26, 1929 in Hersman, IL the daughter of George and Geneva (Alfred) O’Connor. She married Edwin Ingram Reeves on November 19, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1976.
Betty was a member of Liberty Christian Church. In her younger years, Betty showed horses in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. She enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, cooking, baking and loved flowers. Betty was an outgoing person who lived life to the fullest. She loved people and volunteering. She was known as the ‘Cookie Lady’ at the Liberty Ayerco.
She is survived by: A DAUGHTER: Kelly Rogers of Liberty
GRANDCHILDREN: Brittney Meardy; Dylan Rogers; Delaney Rogers;
Joshua (Shannon) Howard; and Bethany Howard.
Great-Grandchild: Brodix Looman
SON-IN-LAW: Cliff Howard
Numerous nieces, nephews, including Mary Lou (Brian) Stephens and Patty (Jerry)Willis and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her husband, Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Kathy Howard and a brother: Robert O’Connor.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the services at 1:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Education Foundation.

I am so very sorry. Praying for you & your family during this very difficult time. Asking God to wrap his loving arms around you, comfort you. Have very fond memories of your precious mama & grandma. She was a blessing to all that knew her. She was always worried about her precious family. She will never be forgotten.
Kelly and family so sorry for your loss. Betty was such a gem. Last i saw her was a few years ago and it was such a joy to chat with her and get one of those famous big hugs. Loved that lady.
I am so very sorry to hear about Betty! Her little devilish smile I will remember forever! She was very well liked by everyone who knew her, I have known her from my Moms restaurant, DJ’S to Conovers Cafe, she was always a well known and respected customer of ours! Rest in peace Betty ❤

I am so sorry for you loss of your wonderful Mom. Betty was the dearest lady. She and your Dad would let us as kids come and see their horses. We always enjoyed them both!
