Betty Ann Moore, age 77, of the St. Vincent Home, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on March 22, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Elwood & Carlotta (Bennett) Tabor. Betty was a graduate of Eastern High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Betty married Richard Ramsey. She later married Eugene Moore. Her later years she spent with her long time companion Jerry Hall.

Betty had worked as a telephone operator for Southwest Bell. She had also worked as an elder caregiver, a cleaning lady, a clerk at Read’s Pharmacy, and had been a housewife.

Betty enjoyed sewing, knitting, and was an avid reader. She also liked puzzle making and traveling. After the death of her companion Jerry Hall, she loved her canine companion “Snickers”.

She is survived by:
1 DAUGHTER: Michele Kessler, and her husband Gilbert Kessler, Sr.
A SON: Michael
GRANDCHILDREN: Gilbert Kessler, Jr. and his wife Briea, Chris Kessler and his wife Jackie, Damian Kessler, Bryan Ely and his wife Christine and Jerry Hall, Jr.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Katrina, Jeremy, Mathew and Susie.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Patricia Pursley and Donnie Aull.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
