Bettina Marie Hill

Sister Bettina Marie Hill was called home to her heavenly father where she will have eternal rest on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019.

Sister Bettina was born March 24, 1950 to the union of Sumner and Lemonia Anderson- Hill.
Bettina worked as a C.N.A. for several years at St. Mary Nazareth hospital of Chicago, IL. Later, she moved to Quincy, Il to be closer to family. Sister Bettina Graduated as a Licensed Cosmetologist from Vatterott College in 2012.

Bettina enjoyed gardening and was blessed with a green thumb for growing plants. She was also an amazing artist and track star in high school.

Sister Bettina was a member of First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed reading her bible, spending time with her loved ones, and sharing inspirational words.

Bettina leaves to cherish her memories of six children: Shatay Mayfield (Victor) of Quincy, Kenja Yearby of Quincy, Sesamir (Mandalena) Yearby of Geneseo, IL, Tahesha Yearby of Houston, TX, Joshua Hill of Quincy, and Joshena Hill of Kansas City, KS; A brother Louis Jones, three sisters Gwendolyn Brooks, Mona (Dennis) Senter and Hilary (Kent) Robinson; A sister-in- Law Christine Hill.
A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Bettina was preceded in death by her Parents; and brother Jacob Daniel Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:30 Pm in First Baptist Church. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church on Friday from 1:30 until the time of the services at 2:30. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
