Bertha J. Craft

Bertha J. Craft, age 89, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Friday, May 3, 2019 in the home. She was born on May 16, 1929 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Everett and Zelma (Hofmeister) Jackson. She married Earl Craft in January of 1948 He preceded her in death.

Bertha was a homemaker and had also worked at Moorman Manufacturing. She was a member of Madison Park Christian Church and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In earlier years, she enjoyed square-dancing with her husband.

She is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Becky Rauman and her husband Eino of Quincy; Newton Craft of Fulton, MO; Arthur Craft and his wife Penny of Quincy and Dale Craft and his wife Mary also of Quincy.
A SISTER: Glenna Griffin and her husband Milton.
10 grandchildren, and other relatives including great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Delbert Jackson and Shirley Cooley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of the services at 11:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Hospital Foundation for Hospice or to the Good Samaritan Home.

    So sorry that Bertha has left us . I remember her from my early days as Earl was a cousin and I got to see them often. I had a great visit with her at the Craft reunion a couple years past as we discussed those early days for each of us. May your family find comfort in knowing she is in what we believe to be a better place.
