You have my sincerest sympathy on the loss of such a great man. He was always willing to help someone in need. I miss him as my neighbor. He will be missed.

Uncle Jim and Family, Justin and I are very sorry for your loss. We hope that you can take some comfort in the knowledge that your dad is in a much better place now. You are a wonderful family and that is a testament to the exceptional father and grandfather Bernie was.
Bernie was the installer for the Illinois Bell Telephone building at 420 Maine Street in 1067. With a 100 pair instalation, and many special features known only to the management of Ill Bell, he did a wonderful job. Later Cappy got involved and a few others, but Bernie wa the main man.
To the family of Bernie Schonhoff,
My wife and I are saddened to hear of your loss. I work with Phil at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, where he generously supplies coffee on those mornings when we have something like cookies or doughnuts to dunk or I need an extra bit of umph to get started.
Phil: I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. It is a shock no matter how long it is put off. Diane lost her brother a few weeks ago. He was 36, and there are so many things I wanted to tell him and do with him. I’m sure you had a long time with your father, and a longer and better time with him to come! Please let us know if we can help you in any way. It would be so nice to see you again, too. Take care, Diane sends her condolences, as well. -Steve

We are sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you during this difficult time. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead and may your memories bring you strength. God Bless…
My prayers go to you and your family. What a full life your father had! If you and your children are a reflection of your Dad, he must have been a very GOOD man.
Very sorry to hear about your Dad. Sounds like he had a very full & active life, with lot’s of family to enjoy, and, in the end I think that’s all we can ask or hope for. God Bless you & your family . Doug K

To all the children of Bernie Schonhoff & their families:
Tom and I got the night of the visitation mixed up and now we feel very bad for not being with you. Bernie was the best guy ever, always a warm greeting when we would see him, usually followed by a little teasing or razzing. We will miss him.

When you loose a loved one, you lose part of yourself, but I’m sure Bernie is in “GOD’S REST” and hope that offers some solace.
