Benedict “Ben” Gregory, age 83 of Country Club Heights, formerly of 1106 Ohio died on April 21, 2017 at 9:50 AM in his home. He was born on May 11, 1933 in Shelbina, MO a son of Howard and Agnes (Gough) Gregory. He married Bettie Joyce Rupe and later married Shirley Ann Kemner both preceded him in death.

Ben graduated from McCooey High School in Hannibal, MO. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a computer programmer for Gray, Hunter & Stenn retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge. Ben was an avid golfer achieving two hole in one’s. He played baseball in the Air Force. He continued his love for baseball by coaching, teaching and playing with his family.

NINETEEN GRANDCHILDREN: Benjamin Stacy, Matthew Stacy, Anne Stacy, Nicole Robles, Haley VanLengen, Jennifer Fausset, Jessica Hagen, Elijah Vollmer, Avery Vollmer, Tanner Iseminger, Seth Iseminger, Gabby Iseminger, Gavin Iseminger, Tyler Clausen, Breanna Clausen, Chloe Belle Wright, Mason Wright, Allison Daggett and Michael Daggett. Seven Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family survive.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter,
Tristi Gregory and a brother Bob Gregory.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2:00 PM in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Shelbina MO with military honors. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Hospice.
