Barbara Willing, age 77, of Quincy, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 in Quincy. She was born on December 1, 1946 in Quincy, a daughter of George and Frances (Marsh) Emery. Barbara married Michael J. Willing on October 17, 1970 in Quincy. He preceded her in death in 2011.

Barbara graduated from Mendon High School and worked for Gardner Denver until the birth of her son. She then stayed at home, becoming a dedicated homemaker for her family.

Barbara is survived by her son: Greg (Brandi) Willing of Springfield, IL; Grandson: Logan Willing; Sisters-in-law: Norma Jean Emery; Kathy Willing; and Peggy Gower. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

In addition to her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and in-laws: Grace (Dewey) Walker; Hazel (Terrell) McColez; George Emery; Norma Lee (Bill) McKenzie and Jerry Gower.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Mendon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Quincy Humane Society. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
