Barbara Lindsey, age 73, of Pittsfield, IL, died on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 28, 1943 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Charles & Pauline (Gire) Misner. Barbara first married Gerald Messer in 1960. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1969. She later married Darrell R. Lindsey on June 29, 1969 in LaBelle, MO. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2015.

Barbara greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by:
SIX CHILDREN: Steve (Kringle) Lindsey of Quincy; Michael (Karla) Messer of Clifton Hill, MO; Robert (Ronell) Messer also of Clifton Hill, MO; Doug Lindsey of Quincy; Matthew (Shelly) Lindsey of Clayton, IL; Floyd (Becky) Lindsey of Perry, IL.
SIBLINGS: Ruth Ann Forrest of Quincy and Janice (Earl) Wieprecht of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Peggy Donath, three sons: Tim Lindsey, Ricky Messer and Michael Dean Messer and a grandson Derek Gebhart.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6th at 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home from 4:00 until the time of the services at 6:00. Memorials may be made to the Family.
