Barbara J. Wingen
Barbara J. Wingen, age 88, of 720 Sycamore St., died on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:50 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on May 8, 1928 in Kirksville, MO, a daughter of Willard & Abigail “Abby” (Steffy) Murfin. She married William F. Wingen. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2007.
Prior to her retirement, Barbara worked as a Dental Assistant.
She is survived by a son, Brian C. Johnson and two grandchildren, Keith Johnson and Tanya Johnson.
In addition to her husband, William, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Private graveside services will be held. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Barb & my Mother played Bridge together at the Woman’s City Club – they had very many good times.
Barb was a great lady. My condolences to the family. !

Barbara faithfully attended services which our church held at Sycamore. She was always bright and cheerful. We will miss her earthly presence but trust she is today with the Savior. May our Lord Jesus Christ be near to each member during this time.
Barbara was a wonderful and caring aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She was always interested in cataloging our activities with her camera. Love you, Barbara!
