Arnulfo “Arnie” Martinez, age 66, of Quincy, died on Friday, September 2, 2022, in his home. Arnie was born March 17, 1956, in Mercedes, TX a son of Nicholas and Apolonia (Gonzales) Martinez.

Arnie had a job he loved, working as a Quincy School Bus driver for the Quincy Public Schools for 20 years.

His favorite pastimes were fishing, singing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include:: Children: Arnulfo G. Martinez of Quincy; Dana Martinez (Jeff); Edwin Martinez and Jordan McPhail both of Quincy. 4 sisters, Eva Tutewiler of Sheldon, IL; Maria Willis of Indian Head Park, IL; Tina (Scott) Ahlborn of Niceville, FL; and Dora (Kent) Smith of Marlinton, IL.

10 Grandchildren survive, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Benita Duby and Diane Woods.

Private inurnment will be in Mound Grove Cemetery in Kankakee, IL.

A Celebration of Arnie’s Life is planned for Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at one of his favorite places:

4720 Point Pleasant Road, Quincy, IL.
