Anthony A. Phillips, age 51, of Quincy, IL, died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 15, 1965 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Cassie & Helen (Shanklin) Phillips. He married Stacey Schmidt on September 29, 1998. She survives. Mr. Phillips worked for Williams & Sons in Janitorial Services. He was a member of the Cathedral of Worship.

Anthony – T’Mo greatly enjoyed fishing and his family BBQ’s. He also liked watching football and attending the various activities of his family. He was a super family man.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by: A DAUGHTER: Erica Bass
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Patrick Green and Ke’shon Green.
THREE STEP-CHILDREN: Darryl Schmidt, Alexis Schmidt, Jeffrey Schmidt.
TWO BROTHERS: Corey Phillips and Kevin Phillips and his wife Takayo
TWO SISTERS: Vicky Shumpert and Charmaine Runnels and her husband Arthur
ONE AUNT: Shirley Gorree. NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Kheashaun, Ronnie, Helen, Aaron, Baron, Shervon, Trevon, Arthur, Anthony, Mark, Margaret, Christy, Melinda, Shakerra, David, Ashley, Derrick, Kayara, Tatiana, Jasmine, Shawna, Tiara and Tasha.
Step-grandchildren, great nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Derrick Phillips and LaVell Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cathedral of Worship. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the Cathedral. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
