Annette E. Mollenhauer

Annette E. Mollenhauer, age 84, of 5327 Eagle Pine Drive, Quincy, died on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 6:50 p.m. in Blessing I.C.U. She was born on December 27, 1924 in Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of James Dee & Jessie (Baker) Wilmeth. She married Bill Mollenhauer on September 13, 1986 in Elmhurst, Illinois. He survives.

Annette was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for the V.A. at Hines Hospital near Chicago, IL.

Annette was a member of N.A.R.F. E. She enjoyed cruises and traveling by train. She and her husband had even traveled by train across Siberia.

In addition to her husband, Bill, survivors include:
ONE STEP-SON: George W. Mollenhauer of Naperville, IL;
ONE STEP-DAUGHTER: Christine Wirth and her husband Don also of Naperville;
ONE STEP-GRANDDAUGHTER: Deanne Wirth of Naperville;
TWO SISTERS: Harriet Adams of Quincy, and Peggy Herbert and her husband Dr. Bill Herbert of Tinton Falls, N.J.
Nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Bob Pinkowski.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church by Rev. Kurt Hartrich, O.F.M. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Humane Society.

    Dear Bill, George, Chris, Jude, Harriet and Peggy and spouses, What a delightful woman you choose for a second wife, Bill. We have always enjoyed you both so very much. We are greatly saddened by Annette’s passing and will share your grief.
