Anna Wietholder

Anna Wietholder, age 65, of Maple Terrace, died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 5:24 PM in Maple Terrace. She was born on August 6, 1950 in Quincy, the daughter of John & Alice (Wand) Wietholder.

Anna worked at the Transitions workshop. Anna loved sweets in any way shape or form. She had a special bond with everyone she met at Maple Terrace and they embraced her special sense of humor. Anna delighted in playing tricks with all of her toy critters. Anna loved all the changing of the seasons and especially the beautiful red fall colors.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Maple Terrace for the excellent care, kindness and love given to Anna. They would also like to thank Transitions for the wonderful time Anna had there.

FOUR SIBLINGS: Kent Wietholder and his wife Judy of Liberty, IL; Sharon Greving of Quincy; Donald Wietholder of Quincy and Mary Wietholder also of Quincy.

FOURTEEN NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Linda Haverstock and her husband Todd; Angela Janik and her husband Joe; Sandra Zylstra and her husband Dan; Melissa Wietholder; Kent Wietholder, Jr.; Julia Lane and her husband Dr. Joseph; John Wietholder and his wife Laura; Patricia Wietholder; Sara Shelts and her husband Dan; Elaina Gooding and her husband Lafe; Dr. John Greving; Melanie Clatt and her husband Chris; Jacob Wietholder and Dr. John Wietholder and his wife Trisha.

Numerous aunts, an uncle, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives also survive.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Anthony and John Wietholder.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the memorial mass. Memorials may be made to Maple Terrace Activity Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
