Anita L. Martin
Anita L. Martin, age 79, of 1605 College, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on July 5, 1939 in Star City, West Virginia the daughter of Glen and Dorothy (Parise) Nicholson. She married James William ‘Bill’ Martin on March 16, 1985. He survives.
Anita was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Ladies of St. Francis. She liked to sew, quilt and crotchet. She enjoyed camping and RV’ing. She looked forward to the monthly get togethers with her former workers from Quintron. She also was a dog lover, especially her pups ‘Tucker’ and ‘Tiffany’.

TWO SONS: Allan J. Cermak and his wife Kathy of Rantoul, IL and Brian E. Cermak of Spring, TX
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN: Amber Schumacher and her husband Matthew; Ashley Cermak; Michael Cermak; Alexander Cermak; Alexis Cermak; Madison Cermak; Alyssa Cermak; and Ian Cermak
TWO STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Jacob Martin and Charissa Martin
3 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
THREE SIBLINGS: Gloria Hagen; Glen Nicholson and his wife Patty; and Roy Nicholson.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son James Kevin Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Francis Catholic Church.
