Alviena Mae Clifford
Alviena Mae Clifford, age 86, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 2:01 p.m. in her home. She was born on June 20, 1928 in Quincy, a daughter of Sydney Carl and Goldie Mae (Dearwester) Williams. She first married Harold C. Baker who preceded her in death on December 14, 1993. She later married Harold Clifford on March 10, 1997 in Quincy. He survives.
Alviena worked at Motorola until its closing here in Quincy. She was a self-taught seamstress and worked for State Street Store and later from her home. She was taught to believe you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
She was an artist, enjoying painting and ceramics. She also crocheted afghans. In her younger years she liked bowling, bingo and horseback riding. Later in life, she liked visiting the casinos, taking bus tours and visiting family in Florida and California. She lived life to the fullest.

One daughter, Zandra L. (Baker) Watts and her husband Harold A. of rural Hull, IL;
Two sons, Harold L. Baker and his wife Lodivina of Palm Bay, FL and Gerald L. Baker and his wife Nettie of rural Mendon, IL;
Seven grandchildren, Ronald Watts, Rhonda Watts, Michelle (Baker) Tubergen, Justin Baker, Andrew Baker, Traci (Huner) Gray , and Phoebe (Baker) Bradshaw,.
Twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Harold C. Baker and three brothers, Norman E. Williams, Carl J. Williams and in infancy, Donald F. Williams.
Memorial graveside services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Quincy Memorial Park. There is no visitation but family and friends are invited to the graveside service. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
