ALVERA ELIZABETH WEBER OBITUARY

Alvera Elizabeth Weber, age 96, of the St. Vincent Home, formerly of 531 Spruce Street, Quincy, went to meet the Lord on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 6:15 p.m. in the Home. Alvera was born October 18, 1911 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of John Henry and Rose (Haas) Sibbing. She married Milton Charles Weber on June 20, 1933 in St. John’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1973. Alvera was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and many friends. Alvera also loved to cook and to play cards.

Alvera was a lifelong member of the former St. John’s Catholic Church and had become a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish.

She was a member of Leisure Club.

Survivors include:
ONE DAUGHTER: Marie Toliver and her husband Ken of Taylor, Missouri;
ONE SON: Ronald V. Weber of Louisville, Kentucky;
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Michael Weber and his wife Donna, Paula Weber, & Suzanne Weber.
TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Gabrielle Weber and Andrew Joseph Weber.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents & two brothers: Lawrence Sibbing and Ferdinand Sibbing.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a parish Prayer service at 4:00. Memorials are suggested to the Ladies of Charity.
