Alma Lee McGinn, age 78, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of Pinole, California, died on Friday, July 5, 2013 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on April 24, 1935 in Holly, CO, a daughter of Chester Henry and Thelma Allenbaugh Cornish. She married Donald William McGinn December 29, 1956 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death in 1986.

Alma retired from the Social Security Administration as an analyst in the Disability Review Section. Prior to that, she worked as a dental hygienist in Richmond, CA.

Alma attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and Rollingwood Lutheran Church in Richmond, California and St. James Lutheran Church in Quincy.

Alma loved her cat and all of her cat collectibles. She enjoyed reading and word puzzle books.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Donald (Dina) McGinn of Belton, MO and Michael (Verna) McGinn of Quincy; two brothers, Lorry Cornish of Pinole, CA and Lou Cornish of Gig Harbor, WA; a sister, Shirley Fleming of El Sobrante, CA; four grandchildren, Dianna, Ashley, Caitlyn McGinn and Megan McGinn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Inurnment will be Friday, July 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Rolling Hills Cemetery, Richmond, CA. Visitation is at the time of services Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
