Alice Faye Ballinger

Alice Faye Ballinger, age 75, of Quincy, died on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in the Timber Point Healthcare Center in Camp Point, IL. She was born on April 25, 1946 in Quincy the daughter of James Henry and Inez Marie (Wear) Tournear. She married James Ballinger on January 30, 1966. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2014.

Alice was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. She loved God. Alice enjoyed doing things with her sisters and taking care of her cat, ‘Lulu’.

She is survived by:
A DAUGHTER: Alicia Ballinger (Jon Strawman) of Quincy.
STEP-CHILDREN: Jeff Ballinger (Robin) of Quincy and Jenny Benjamin (Mike) of Payson, IL.
GRANDSON: Dalton Davis
GREAT-GRANDSON: Dawson Davis.
SIBLINGS: Sylvia ‘Sis’ Sharpe, Sharon Harlan (Larry), Jeanie Florea (Billy Jo) and Terry Tournear (Patty).
Numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Alice was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Lyndell Tournear.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A graveside burial will take place on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God Church or Quincy Area Community Cat Coalition. There will be a meal directly following the services at Bethel Assembly of God Church.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Alice was so funny. I love to listen to her tell jokes and Laugh. I am glad I visited with her the last time I was in town. I will miss her.
