Alice E. Wietholder

Alice E. Wietholder, age 84, of 3300 Lawrence Road, Quincy, died on Monday, January 24, 2011 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1926 in Quincy the daughter of Leo & Cora (Schreacke) Wand. She married John Wietholder and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Wietholder worked at St. Dominic Catholic Church as a secretary. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Alice raised horses and used to enjoy riding. Alice also enjoyed reading and baking, and she thoroughly enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers.

She is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Kent Wietholder and his wife Judy of Liberty; Sharon Greving of Quincy; Ann Wietholder of Quincy; Donald Wietholder of Quincy; and Mary Wietholder also of Quincy.
FOURTEEN GRANDCHILDREN: Linda Haverstock and her husband Todd; Angela Janik and her husband Joe; Sandra Zylstra and her husband Dan; Melissa Wietholder; Kent Wietholder, Jr.; Julia Wietholder; John Wietholder and his wife Laura; Patricia Wietholder; Sara Shelts and her husband Dan; Elaina Gooding and her husband Lafe; John Greving; Melanie Clatt and her husband Chris; Jacob Wietholder and John Wietholder and his wife Trisha.
ONE BROTHER: Ronald Koch and his wife Kay
THREE SISTERS: Anita Steinkamp; Barbara Thompson and her husband Ray; and Sister Barbara Rose Koch C.P.P.S.
TWENTY NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: Anthony Wietholder and John Wietholder and 2 Sisters: Margie Libertyn and Ruth Koch.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church with Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the Memorial Mass. Memorials may be made to the Maple Terrace Activities Fund or to Camp Callahan. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
