Alexis C. Bliven
Alexis C. Bliven, age 24, of 659 Harrison Dr., Quincy, died on Sunday, April 14, 2013. She was born on September 27, 1988 in Quincy, a daughter of Matt Bliven & April Stovall.
Alexis is a graduate of Quincy High School. After graduation she attended John Wood Community College and Quincy University. She was employed by Kohl’s Department Store.
She enjoyed reading and music and loved spending time with her friends. The greatest joy of her life, however, was her son Landen.
Survivors include:
HER DAD, Matt Bliven and his companion Liz Davis of Quincy,
HER MOTHER, April Stovall and her companion Andy Rivard of Quincy;
ONE SON, Landen Bliven of Quincy;
THREE SISTERS, Taylor Bliven & Reagan Bliven both of Quincy and Lauren Rivard of WI;
ONE BROTHER, Joel Rivard of Edwardsville, IL
MATERNAL GRANDFATHER, Frank Waldhaus of Quincy
PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS, Richard & Victoria Bliven of Quincy
In addition, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Martha Waldhaus.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Landen Bliven Education Fund.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my co-worker Alexis. I wish I could talk with her one more time. She was fun to work with. My prayers and condolences go out to her family and friends.
Everyone usually says the same thing because we want to comfort you but there’s nothing we can do to help. It’s true though, we are very sorry something terrible like this has happened to Alexis! So fun, so vibrant, so colorful, so young…so unbelievable, so sad.

I met Alexis at my husbands class reunion. She and I talked quite a bit that night since neither of us knew any one else. She was such a sweet girl and I’m sure she will be missed by many.
