I am so grateful to have known Bert as my neighbor for the past 15 years. She was always such a pleasure to talk to as we came and went, or while she waited for her bingo ride. She spoke often about her kids and grand-kids, I could tell she loved you all very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family .

I had the great privilege of meeting Bert over 25 years ago, when my sister married her son. I will always remember her contagious sense of humor, that twinkle in her eye when she was telling a story and then finished it with that great laugh. I will celebrate her fierce love for her family (especially all her beautiful grandchildren), faith in God and her zest for life. Bert had the rare experience of living a full life all the way up to the end of it, including dancing the night away at her granddaughter’s wedding at the young age of 93. I am a better person for knowing Bert, she will be missed.
