I met Mr. Thompson through Baldwin School he was always so nice and warmhearted towards me and made me feel special every time I was in his presence he will be dearly missed
To the family of Albert Thompson. We as the whole Quincy community share in your loss. Every person I know has stories of how much Albert gave of his self to help them or his beloved community. Albert was a stellar Police and Fire Commissioner. He also helped shape the lives of all the youths in the Fredrick Ball community. He loved to talk and always shared a laugh with whoever was in his company. Then I recently learned that he was a war hero. This man was an example of a life well lived. We’ll miss his long talks, his laughter and his giving. Let’s honor him by being the example he set for us all. I thank God for a great friend and mentor. So grateful God blessed him with such a long and fruitful life. He taught us how to live. May he Rest In Peace. The family of Lt. Eddie Fletcher
Nicole I remember when you would talk about your grandfather it was always caring and love.
Mr Albert was instrumental in helping all of us as youths. Praying for his Family and all who will miss him.
Albert Thompson was the real deal! He will surely be missed by the community and those who loved him. He was a very fair man, who always had a ready smile and a kind word for anyone nearby. Rest in peace, Mr. Thompson! God’s rich blessings to all of your family in this time of mourning.
I thank God for his wisdom and foreknowledge. So many of us who were blessed in our youth and adult life to be able to walk in the pathway of an ordinary man who was blessed to to extraordinary things. One main thing that has stayed with me for almost 56yrs was the early evening of June 24 1964, when Albert and Judge Richard Schultz drove to my scout camp to bring me home and inform me of the loss of my dear mother. 12 yrs later Albert was instrumental in paving the way for me becoming a Quincy Police Officer. Many memories of insight and guidance as a father figure mentor and friend. I thank God for this servant of God. My prayers go to Alberts family and his numerous friends. He was truly part of the greatest generation.
Prayerfully submitted
Reverend Cecil G. Fletcher
Pastor of Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Dick I did not know your brother. I read his obituary. He was quite a man. Would have liked to know him. Sorry for your loss
Dick and Mary, please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your brother. We will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers at the difficult time.
I met Mr. T (as I called him) way back in Baldwin School. He always made me laugh and I enjoyed seeing him at school. I kept him in my thoughts for many years, not knowing that so many years will go by that he would end up being the great grandfather of my two children. In which I could not have asked for a better great grandfather for my children. We r so happy to be a part of this family. Hugs and Kisses to the family! Love and Miss You, Always and Forever Grandpa.
My deepest condolences to Andre, Angela and family. Your Grandad was a loving and dedicated man that served his country.
