Alan Storck

Alan Storck, age 86, of the Maple Lawn Nursing Home, formerly of 624 College Ave, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the Home. He was born on May 4, 1928 in Quincy the son of William Elmer and Margaret (Hellhake) Storck. He married Jacqueline Kroeger on May 13, 1948. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2011. Mr. Storck worked as a cook for The Plaza restaurant for over 20 years. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Mr. Storck enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife and son. Alan liked to take care of his tomato garden. He was also a Cardinals Fan.

He is survived by:
A SON: Ricky Storck of Quincy
TWO BROTHERS: Richard E. Storck and his wife Jan of Minnesota and Larry Storck and his wife Karen Sue of Palmyra, MO.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers; Eugene and William Storck and 1 sister: Naida Hamann.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Maple Lawn Nursing Home or to the Quincy Senior Center.

    Dear Storck family, What a kind man Alan was. When I started at the Plaza in 1968 I met him and when I was the general manager, he was there still. I will keep him my in prayers, all any one could say, he was so kind a man, Paul
