Adelbert J. ‘Bert’ Glassford, II, age 69, of Quincy, died on Friday, February 19, 2021 in Timber Point Healthcare Center. He was born prematurely at home on June 16, 1951 to Adelbert and Pearl (Wieprecht) Glassford and weighed 2 lbs, 2 oz at birth. He spent 4 months in the hospital. Bert was a graduate of Quincy High School in 1970. He worked at Blessing Hospital in the housekeeping department. Bert had attended the Salvation Army. He loved to play the organ.

He is survived by:
HIS SISTER: Cathryn Kahs of Quincy;
NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Crystal Gooding (Chris); Elleina Jeffrey (Bert); Mark Kahs (Dee Dee); James Kahs; Steve Kahs (Janet); Timothy Fuhrman (Leslie) and Richard Fuhrman.
Numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives also survive.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: William, Timothy, and Christopher Glassford.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
