Gail D. Shannon, age 72, of Adair, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Quincy, IL. She was born on March 1, 1952 in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of Emil and Ione (Hackbarth) Schinske. They both preceded her in death.
Gail was born with a green thumb and plant enthusiast, often sharing starts with others. She also enjoyed good music and loved being outdoors. Perhaps her biggest love of all was the Chicago Bears.
She is survived by 5 children: Shane, Shanlyn, Tiffany, Chad, and Zachary; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by several siblings, her rabbit Black Jack, and her beloved son: Kyle J. Shannon.
Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
