Donna Jo Andrews
Donna Jo Andrews, 69, of Maywood, MO joined our Lord on February 13th, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones and family.
Donna was born on August 25, 1954 to Harold “Cork” and Irma (Haga) Jordan in Georgetown, IL. Her childhood was spent working and playing on the family farm with her three other siblings. After graduating from Georgetown High School, she completed a degree in Medical Technology from Eastern Illinois University. She married Gregory Robert Andrews on March 22nd, 1980 at First Church of Christ in Georgetown IL. Together they had four children who she stayed home to raise in Quincy IL. She was a loving mother to all who always had room for extra guests at the dinner table.
Donna was an avid gardener, seamstress, crafter, quilter, baker, cook, and outdoorswoman. She enjoyed long walks through the park, the family farm, playing card games, spending time with family, her grandchildren, her dog Ollie, and friends. Her various wildlife roasts, stroganoffs, stews, and gravies were the focal point of many feasts with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Harold “Cork” Jordan, and Mother Irma Ilene Jordan.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years Gregory Andrews; three siblings: James (Barbara) Jordan of Rochester NY, Carol (Terry) Scott of Bowling Green IN, and Pam Elder of Danville IL; four children Eric Andrews of Columbia MO, Thomas (Lauren) Andrews of Columbia MO, Caleb (Jilli) Andrews of Columbia MO, and Kelsey (Christopher) Faron of St. Louis MO; three grandchildren Isaiah Andrews, Louisa Faron, and Isabelle Andrews; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and caring friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Monday evening February 19, 2024, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Donations to celebrate her legacy can be made to the Quincy Medical Group Cancer Institute or St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
I will treasure my special friendship with Donna forever. She was the kindest, most faith-filled woman I’ve ever met. She raised a beautiful family of wonderful children and was blessed with a wonderful husband.

Donna and I were neighbors and throughout the years we became good friends. I will always treasure the many walks and conversations we had. I remember when Donna told me she had Pancreatic Cancer. And my response to her was “I’m so sorry.” And she said back to me “Don’t worry. God will take care of me.” Donna had a strong faith in God. Her faith and her family were what got her through the last chapter of her life. I will miss her so. But now she is with her Lord and Saviour. Someday I will see her again. My love and prayers are with the family.

We are so sorry to hear about Donna’s passing. We enjoyed living next to Donna and her husband Greg and little Ollie. I will cherish our mom-to mom conversations and walks through the garden. I always enjoyed seeing her embroidery work. She was so talented! She was such a kind soul, full of love, especially for her family. Thoughts and prayers are with her family.
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And He whispered, ‘Come to me’.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
As you slowly slipped away
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard-working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
I’m so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing . Praying for you and your family.

Christy and I are very sorry to hear of Donna‘s passing. She was a woman of grace, Faith love, enjoy. I am especially grateful for the many meals she prepared for the doctors Bible studies on Saturday mornings for many years. I also appreciated her insights into scripture and things of the spirit. I am certain the Donna now sees Jesus face-to-face and is overwhelmed with the glory of heaven. She’ll be waiting for us with open arms.
