Maya L. Seals

Maya L. Seals, age 25, of Quincy, IL, passed away in her home on Saturday, October 10, 2026. She was born on October 1, 2001, in Quincy, a daughter of Chad and Kirsten (Sparks) Seals. Her mother preceded her in death and her father survives.

At just 25 years old, Maya’s time with us was far too short, but the love she gave and the memories she created will live in our hearts forever. She was a loving, caring soul who shared a special bond with her family, especially her two siblings, who meant so much to her. Family was everything to Maya, and she held those closest to her dearly.

One of the greatest examples of Maya’s loving heart was the way she cared for her mother throughout her cancer journey. She stood by her mother during such a difficult time, showing a depth of love, strength, and devotion that will never be forgotten.

Maya loved to cook, and making pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving was one of her special traditions. She also had a special love for dogs, and her gentle, caring nature made that love a beautiful part of who she was.

Maya’s passing leaves a heartbreaking emptiness in the lives of everyone who loved her. Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the time we had with Maya. She will always be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. She will live on in the hearts of her family and in the precious memories they will cherish forever.

Along with her father, Maya is survived by her siblings: C.J. (Kayla) Seals and Lillien (Delaney Lemons) Seals; Maternal grandmother: Linda (Lonnie Herren) Bliven; Paternal grandparents: Duane (Penny) Seals and Karen Seals; Aunts: Shana (Jason Seals) Sparks; Kayli Sparks; Jennifer (Mike) Peck; Sherry (Shad) Richmiller; Jill (Tony) Dunker; and special great-aunt Debra Sutton; Uncles: Jason Seals and Craig Seals. Numerous friends and relatives also survive.

In addition to her mother, Maya was preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Robert Sparks and James Bliven.

Cremation has taken place according to her wishes. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11:00 am at Madison Park Church. Memorial donations may be made directly to Shana Sparks for funeral expenses. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
