Frances Faylene Knuffman of Quincy died on Friday September 18, 2026 in Blessing Hospital. Fay was born on November 29, 1937 in Plainville, Illinois a daughter of Joseph Peter “Josie“ Knuffman and Eva Elizabeth Schwartz.

Faye was a nurse who was employed at the office of Dr. Roy Rapp for the majority of her career until her retirement.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. Fay was a faithful member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Fay was an outdoors woman, hunted game with her parents and enjoyed gardening.

She worked as a volunteer at the Ladies of Charity thrift store. She loved her dogs, especially her current dog “Buddy”. Fay was also adored by her caregivers and friends at Curtis Creek.

Her survivors include numerous first cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church. Service arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
