William H. Hultz, Jr. age 96, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 23, 1929, in Earlville, IL, the son of William and Ethel (Lindeman) Hultz. He first married Janet A. Flynn on November 26, 1945 and she preceded him in death. William married Dorothy (Ohnemus) Rhinberger on November 15, 1986, she survives.

William graduated from Quincy High School and worked at automobile service stations as a teenager. He owned stations at 18th and Broadway, 30th and Broadway, and 11th and Maine. He also owned Saxe Auto Electric, retiring in 1986. In 1968, William developed Expressway Mobile Home Park, which he owned and managed until his retirement in 1996. After retiring, he spent his winters in Mission, Texas.

William was a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church, now known as Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
He was a member of Quincy Auto Service Association (QASA), the Holiday Rambler R.V. Club local chapter 263, the Quinsippi Ramblers as a charter member, local square dance clubs, the Travel ’N’ Trompers chapter 059, and participated in Square Dance Camping Club. William worked with security at HRRVC International rallies.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by:
Two sons, Robert Hultz and Kenneth Hultz, both of Quincy; and his daughters Karen (Bob) King of Broken Arrow, OK, Linda (Virgil) Peters of Quincy, and Sharon Hultz of Quincy.
Stepchildren: Diana Hummel of Evansville, IN and Cindy Whitaker of Portsmouth, OH
Grandchildren: Mick and Colleen Hultz; Chris, Brad, and Megan Hultz; Courtney (Cooper) King; Josh, Tina, Katy, and Adam Peters;
Step grandchildren: Michelle, Melinda, and Amanda Hummel, Christine and Karen Ketzler.
His brother, Kyle Hultz of Helotes, TX. Numerous great-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

William was also preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Roger Hultz, Richard Hultz, Lawrence Hultz, Galen Hultz, Ruth Gibson, and a sister, LaVora Hultz in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 9:30 am at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
