Lakeia N. Smith, age 30, of 926 State, died in her home on June 1, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1995 in Quincy. Lakeia was a graduate of Quincy High School and had presently been working at Auntie Anne’s.

Lakeia was a TikTok superstar. She loved her music and being a ‘Swiftie’ for Taylor Swift. She was always playing jokes, especially on her dad. She was a loving and giving person to all, but especially loved the youngsters. She also leaves behind her dearly beloved cat, ‘Hopper’.

Her siblings: A’vae Ball, A’Cashmeria Dawson, Jeraius Rice Jr., Ja’leiyah Rice, A’Mister Rice, Samara Cantrell, Sidney Cantrell and David Butler.
Her aunts and uncles Kevin (Denise) Smith, Jamila Smith, Amanda (Chad) Leslie, and Daphne (Matthew) Reddy.
Numerous cousins, including her special cousins Luke, Noelle, and Sammy Leslie and her special cousins who were also beloved godchildren to Lakeia: Ka’Tia, Ka’Reah and Ka’Ona Keeler.
Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Lakeia was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Mary Fesler, paternal grandparents Ronald Smith and Linda Kay Steele Smith; her maternal great grandmothers Irma C. Laaker and Ruth Truitt and her paternal great-grandfather Donald Smith.

Funeral services are to be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
