Krista R. Shear, age 32, of Quincy, died on May 23, 2026 in her home. She was born on July 30, 1993 in Quincy, IL

Numerous uncles, aunts, and other relatives also survive.

Krista was a vibrant, loving, and somewhat adventurous soul whose presence brought warmth and joy to those fortunate enough to know her. She had a passion for travel and loved discovering new places, but her favorite destination was always the beach

A determined student, Krista earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Quincy University. She carried the same dedication and work ethic from her education into her professional life, where she worked in the Hy-Vee Pharmacy.

While Krista never imagined herself as someone who wanted children, everything changed when Braxton came into her life. She embraced him wholeheartedly VTR and devoted herself to being the best second mom he could ever want. She loved him unconditionally, celebrated his accomplishments, comforted him through challenges, and found immense joy in watching him grow. The love she shared with Braxton became one of the most meaningful parts of her life and a testament to the size of her heart.

Krista will be remembered for her wholesome spirit, her quick smile, her caring nature, and her devotion to the people she loved. her impact on family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew her will never be forgotten.

Though her life was far too short, Krista filled her years with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched and in the countless moments shared with the people she loved most.

Krista will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at Twin Oaks Club, 2707 Bonansinga Drive in Quincy, on Saturday, June 6 from 5 to 8 PM. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
