Sharon J. Daugherty, age 80, of Mendon, died on Saturday, May 23, 2026 in her home. She was born on November 23, 1945 in East St. Louis, IL the daughter of Clifford and Florence (Schaffer) Schawallenic. She married James Daugherty on September 23, 1967. He survives.

Sharon liked fishing and gardening. She also loved animals.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Sherry Dillard (Rick) and Clifford L. Daugherty (Michelle).
GRANDCHILDREN: James Dillard and Sadie Whitaker (Justin); Zachary Nelson (Kayla), Stephanie Bushdiecker (Joe) and David Daugherty (Darryn).
11 Great Grandchildren.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Julie Ann Daugherty.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Quincy Memorial Park. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
