Janet Klossing, age 89, of Forrest, IL died on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in her home. She was born on January 30, 1937 in Quincy. She married Richard Lee Klossing on December 26, 1959. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2014.

Janet was a member of Fairbury Baptist Church. Janet loved to ride her bicycle. She continued riding her bicycle well into her 80’s. She greatly enjoyed being around family and her dog, ‘Maggie’. She thoroughly enjoyed country music. Janet enjoyed talking about life with friends and family, and really enjoyed volunteering at Bible School and Church and whole life.

Janet is survived by:
CHILDREN: Richard Klossing of Morris, Il; Ron Klossing of Braidwood, Il and Kevin Klossing (Tammy) of Florida.
GRANDCHILD: Amber Heilman
GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Brooklynn Pennington
GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILD: Beauden Pennington
A SISTER: Kay Wingerter.
SISTER-IN-LAW, and very close friend: Wanda Webster.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Webster and Faye (Niekamp) Webster Rubenacker and a brother, James Webster.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at 1:00. Memorials may be made to Fairbury Baptist Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
