Timothy “Tim” J. Gravitt
Timothy “Tim” J. Gravitt, age 64, of Quincy, died on March 30, 2026 in the Blessing Emergency Room. He was born on October 24, 1961 in Quincy, the son of Alvin and June (Abbott) Gravitt. He married Georgia Ann Smith on January 22. She survives.
Tim was of the Pentecostal faith. He was employed in the janitorial department through Transitions. He enjoyed fishing, listening to Johnny Cash, and singing karaoke. He was an avid wrestling fan. Tim found great enjoyment in helping other people as much as possible.
He was a good man, who never gave up even when times were tough.
In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by his children: Timothy Gravitt and Tamie (Fred) Henderson. Grandchildren: Allie Wagner, Mary Henderson, and Gage Henderson. Great-Grandchild: Dominic Charlton.
Four brothers: Johnny, Alvin, Roger, and Gerald. A sister: Bonnie.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Allen.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned at this time. Service arrangements are with the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.
My uncle / brother I call him there is a reason Timothy Gravitt was a very kind lovable person he would go out of his way for people when spending the night when I was a child I didn’t know if I was sleep walking he took a picture it woke me up he loved his dog Cody that was his buddy he was my uncle / Brother favorite he my favorite uncle / Brother U be missed a lot but I know u be looking down on me and our family fly high we never forget u I cannot believe this happened it feels not real now u with Mom /Dad Allen look after each other now u are in heaven with them please take care of them
You are going to be so greatly missed Tim. You became family to us. Now your with your best friend again and I hope you two are having a time in heaven. I just know those gates opened and so many people and pets were so happy to see you. Until we meet again ❤️
