Dennis Craig Pennington, age 79, of the Illinois Veterans Home, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in the Home. He was born on October 17, 1946, in Divernon, Illinois, the son of Edward and Vivian (Simon) Pennington.

He was of the Pentecostal Faith and very strong in his faith.
He served in the United States Army.

He is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Petra Pennington and her husband Michael Brown and Robert Passerini.
Several Grandchildren survive.
SIBLINGS: Janice Moran and her husband Dave and Eddie Wayne Pennington and his wife Janice also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents, his step-father who raised him William Workman and a brother Raymond Pennington.

A memorial service with military rites will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the All Faiths Chapel of the Illinois Veterans Home. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
