Thomas A. Reagan

Thomas A. Reagan (Tom), age 80, of Quincy, died on January 16, 2026 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1945 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Leo & Irene (Toebben) Reagan. Tom married Jo Lynn (Davis) Tallent on June 20, 1998. She survives. Tom was a pipefitter for Local #25 until his retirement.

Tom enjoyed putting in a garden every year, and he and Lynn worked together in the yard and their flowers. You could always find Tom and Lynn on their front porch, visiting with neighbors as they passed by. They traveled to the Caribbean and spent time at the Lake of the Ozarks. He loved to fish with his grandsons and his friend, Roger and brother-in-law, Jim. He enjoyed playing cards. He will miss his daily Jed’s time and all his friends there. Tom loved his family and always provided for all of them.

In addition to his wife, Tom is also survived by their combined family of
6 Children: Jolynn Marie ‘Jodi’ Reagan of Quincy, Todd Anthony Reagan (Sheri) of California, and Troy Allen Reagan (Margaret) of Quincy; Terri Lynn Bulejski of St. Louis, MO, Summer June Tallent, and Robert Lane Tallent of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Cray Joseph Reagan and Caleb Allen Reagan, Tanner Gerard Bulejski, Easton Brantley Glaves, Alaina Grace Palmer, Myah Kathleen Willing, Christopher Pride, Bryce (Kellie) Lewis, Cole (Samantha) Lewis.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Aspen James Smith, Harper Lewis (arriving soon), Cahlon and Braelon Pride, Kylee, Kane, and Krew Lewis.
Tom’s sister Kathleen Durk (Milton) of Quincy.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives plus Tom’s best friend, Billy Austin survive.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Shirley Miller along with her husband Don, Mary Couchman and her husband Chester, Norma Ancell and her husband James, and Cleo Leasman and her husband Earnest.

One of Tom’s favorite things to say was that he “did not like war,” and he lived his entire life trying to uphold that.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at 1:00 PM. Private family Inurnment will take place at the Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home at a later date with military rites at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Judes Children’s Hospital or to the Disabled American Veterans. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Sorry to hear about the loss of Tom. He and I were pals through Ellington. During the summer months Tom and I would spend a lot of time fishing Baldwin pond when Maine St was just a gravel road there. I miss those times. RIP, Tom – Kent Dulaney
