Barbara L. Nicholas, age 73, of Quincy, Il passed away on January 10, 2026 at Blessing Hospital. Barbara was born on June 21, 1952, the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Bedi) Kovach.

Barbara was a hair stylist for most of her life but her favorite job was that of a loving and attentive mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her son Christopher (Melissa) Nicholas and her beautiful grandchildren Trevor, Callie, and Seth Nicholas and a great grandchild Alayah Nicholas. Barbara also had a passion for dogs, was a fan of the city of Cleveland’s sports teams, and Hungarian food.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father Frank and Barbara and her sister Shirley O’Donnell.

Cremation rites have been accorded with no formal services planned at this time. Anyone wishing to make a memorial may do so to the Quincy Humane Society or St. Jude in Barbara’s honor. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
