April Stovall, age 56, of Quincy died on December 21, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1969 in Fort Madison, IA, the daughter of Martha Powell and Frank Waldhaus.

She was of the Catholic faith. April was employed at the Adams County Jail for more than 20 years.

April enjoyed spending time outdoors. She liked to pamper herself by using the tanning bed religiously and getting pedicures. April was a huge Cubs fan. She had a strong love for music, and shared that love with her daughter, Alexis.

She loved to spend time with her girls from “The Girls Club.” April remained her carefree self even at the end of her life.

She is survived by her grandson, Landen Bliven. Siblings: Barbara Sinclair (Kenny) and Darrell Stovall. Numerous friends and relatives also survive.

April was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Alexis C. Bliven.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A butterfly release and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.
