Martha Rodeffer

Martha Rodeffer, age 89, of Quincy, died on December 15, 2025, in her home. She was born on September 10, 1936, in Bowling Green, MO, the daughter of Salem and Josephine (Johnson) Joseph.

She married Charles Rodeffer in March 25, 1955 in Bowling Green, MO at her mother’s home. He preceded her in death.

Martha went by the name of “Marty” or Joan to her family and friends. She was known among the bowling alleys as being one of the best bowlers around. She spent many years in the Thursday night bowling leagues here in Quincy.

Martha worked at Motorola for 15 years until the time of their closing. She finished her long career in factories with Tuscarora Plastics in 2001. She was of the Methodist faith.

She leaves behind three daughters: Marie (Mike) Shaw of Beverly, Illinois; Janice Blankenship of Sullivan, Missouri; and Kimberly Straube of Quincy, Illinois; and 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no formal services. Inurnment will take place at a later date. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
