Norman F. Baugher, Jr.
Norman F Baugher Jr, a longtime resident of Fulton, MO passed away peacefully on Nov 12, 2025 at the Harry S Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, MO, with loved ones at his side.
Born on Aug 23, 1947, in Quincy, IL, to Norman F Baugher Sr and Dorothy V (Uppinghouse) Baugher, Norman was a 1965 graduate of Payson-Seymour High School. He joined the Marine Corps the same year. He graduated from University of Illinois in 1973, and married Prudence (Schmitt) Baugher on September 28, 1984. He was a self-employed Electrician and had an accomplished career at the Ameren UE Nuclear Power Plant from 1986 until his retirement in 2011.
Norman was a compassionate, intelligent, and fun-loving man who brought joy and humor wherever he could. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved attending and cheering at his children’s sporting events or performance arts, and cherished making his children and grandchildren laugh. In his retirement he loved travelling and camping with his wife in their RV.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Prudence Baugher, his children: Heather Singleton, Matthew (Mandy) Baugher, Holly Baugher, Morgan (David) Doty, and Michael (Jordan) Baugher, his siblings: Nancy (Loren) Lummer, Clay (Debra) Baugher, Deborah (Gary Lewis) Davis, and Donna Archibald, his grandchildren: Lindsey (Jake) Tanner, Marah Franklin, Lainey Franklin, William Baugher, Henry Doty, Eva Doty, and Alice Doty, and his great grandchildren: Beau Tanner, Norah Tanner, Margot Tanner, Tristan Tanner, and Finn Tanner, and his aunts: Alice Allensworth and Nadine Uppinghouse.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Norman Baugher Sr. and Dorothy Baugher.
A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at VFW Post 2657 on Nov 22, 2025, from 2:00PM – 4:00 PM. A Memorial visitation will take place at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Nov 24, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, immediately followed by a graveside service at Sunset Cemetery at 10:30 AM, and a memorial luncheon at the Twin Oaks Club at 11:00 AM. Military rites to be accorded at the cemetery by the Marine Corps Funeral Honor Detail and the American Legion Post #37.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being collected for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2657 in Fulton, MO. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Norman and I were classmates and percussion band members in high school. He will be sorely missed!!! May God bless him and each of his family members.

I have a lot of good memories of Norman from playing cards with my brother Ron, Norman and myself. Going hunting rabbits and also hunting ducks on the Mississippi river with Norman, Loren Lummer, Ron and myself. Nubby was a great guy and cousin !
