Karen Mutchler
Karen R. Mutchler, age 69, of Quincy, died on Saturday, September 13, 2025 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1956 in Quincy to Raymond and Dorothy (Shuerman) Hainline, and later adopted and raised by Ester Carnes.
Karen worked many years for the Quincy Elks Lodge. She was of the Christian faith.
In her spare time she loved to watched NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Sr. She spent most of her time with her children and grandchildren and best friend, Sharon Young. Karen also loved to draw.
She is survived by: Two children: Anthony (Tony) Mutchler and Donna Mutchler both of Quincy. Three Grandchildren: Paige, Damian, and Jasper Mutchler all of Quincy. Four Siblings: Bonnie (Gary) Rankin, James Hainline, and sister-in-law: Karen Hainline. Numerous Nieces and nephews also survive.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and adopted mother, and siblings: Betty Hainline, Shirley Mettler, Ruby Shaffer, Ginny (Doug) Stroud, Jerry Hainline, Raymond Hainline, Billy (Barb) Hainline, Larry Siepker, and Michael Hainline. Also her good friend and ex-husband: John Mutchler.
Cremation rites have been accorded by her wishes.
A Celebration of Life will be on September 26, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Twin Oaks Club. Please come and show your respects.

Karen, I remember when my kids and l would go to Washington park and visit with you and Donna and kids. You would always stand up for my son, when others talk bad about him. Washington park was of hang out..fly high my friend..tell my momma and rest of my loved ones that I love them…Karen save me a seat, I be there when God calls me home…🕊🪽🕊🪽🕊🪽🕊🪽

I love you Karen. I’m gonna miss you so much. You never backed down all the way to the end you fought. I admire your courage and strength. Thank you for being my aunt and my mom’s best friend and my friend. Thank you for always being there when I thought nobody cared about me. Thank you for always being a positive part of my life and giving me hell when I do something stupid. Thank you for all the advice you gave me all my life. I love you Karen.
