Arista Michelle Bauerly, age 47, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:29 PM after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 10, 1978 in Quincy, IL.

Arista was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School, class of 1996. She was the general manager of the Sheridan Swim Club.

She will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality—sassy, unapologetically blunt, and the kind of extrovert who could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them laughing. She loved the sun and spent countless hours tanning and swimming, always the happiest near the water. Above all else, her greatest joy was found in her children, who were the center of her world, and in the friendships she nurtured with loyalty and laughter. Her beloved beagle, Duck, was never far from her side, a constant companion who brought her comfort and joy.

Arista is survived by:
HER CHILDREN: Brayden Bauerly (Paige), Jayden Bauerly, Maggie Bauerly, and Presley Hamann
HER FIANCÈ: James McKinney
HER FATHER: Thomas E. Doellman
HER BROTHER: James S. Hamann

Arista is also survived by so many dear friends and other relatives.

Arista was preceded in death by her mother, Susan M. Doellman.

A celebration of Arista’s Life will be held at a later date. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
