Paul E. Moody, Sr., age 73, of Quincy, died on Friday, August 29, 2025 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on January 19, 1952 in Quincy, Illinois.

He married Ann Mock on June 14, 1975. She survives.

Paul was a jack of all trades. Paul was co-owner of Nicholson & Moody Construction Co. Among other things, Paul was a mechanic, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator over the years. His last job was taking his grandchild to school.

In younger years he enjoyed camping and canoeing. He played solitaire and enjoyed watching westerns. Paul greatly enjoyed spending time with buddies at various establishments around town.

In addition to his wife, Paul is also survived by:
CHILDREN: PJ Moody, Brooke Moody, Joshua Moody.
GRANDCHILDREN: Dylann Cain (Harley) and Conner Cain; and Maci Moody.
GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Gabreal McPhail-Gibson
SIBLINGS: Steven Moody (Donna)
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother Jane Dale and his father George Moody.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
