Brenda Sandifer

Brenda Sandifer, age 75, of the Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. She was born on January 9, 1950 in Quincy the daughter of Homer and Irene (Hannick) Sandifer. Brenda was a graduate of St. Boniface Grade School and a 1968 graduate of Quincy Senior High. She worked as a LPN for Blessing Hospital for many years in Labor and Delivery, retiring in 1988. She later worked at the former St. Vincent Home. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Brenda was an avid gardener and painter. She made numerous homemade gifts for family and friends. She loved her family. She also loved her animals, especially her canine companions ‘Marco’ and ‘Barbie’ who preceded her in death. Brenda also enjoyed being outside in nature. Brenda was a genuine, nice and generous person throughout her life.

Brenda is survived by:
SISTERS: Patricia Sheely (Robert) and Barbara Logsdon (Larry).
NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Pam Sheely, Rob Sheely (Sandy), Tim Sheely (Jenny), Todd Lugering (Robin) and Sarah Lugering; John Logsdon (Jamie) and Chad Logsdon (Barbie).
Numerous great-nieces, great-nephews other relatives and friends also survive.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Phyllis Lugering along with her husband Mark.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I worked with Brenda at st. Vincent’s, she was a very nice person.

    I worked with Brenda at Blessing Hospital on OB. Very quiet caring person. Rest i peace Brenda.
