Earl Ray Ferguson
Earl Ray Ferguson age 86, of Quincy died on Friday July 25, 2025, in his home. Earl was born in Clark, MO on February 24, 1939, one of Loren and Etha (McMurray) Feguson’s eleven children. Earl served for two years in the U.S. Army. He then worked at the former Electric Wheel Company in Quincy until they closed. He continued working at Bud and Ray’s Hydraulic Repair until he retired.
Earl lived a simple life; his greatest pleasure was being on his front porch observing nature and gardening. He had a generous heart and for years supported his favorite charitable organizations.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Henze and her husband Scott of Quincy.
Two grandchildren, Joshua and Emilee Henze both of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Kenneth, James, Robert, Carol, Donald, Lyle, and Garry, and sisters, Alice “Ruth” Irwin, Lois Ferguson and Roma “Delight” Inman.
Graveside services with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #37 will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Quincy Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
