John D. Lugering

John D. Lugering, age 74, of Quincy, died on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1950 in Quincy the son of Walter J. and Margaret (Dittmer) Lugering. John Married Penny Kay Bridgman on July 6, 1970 . She preceded him in death on December 8, 2000. John worked at Titan Wheel for numerous years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. John was a long-time member and avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing and in later years he enjoyed traveling.

John is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Christina Kraft (Ronald) of Palmyra, MO and Durinda Martin (Bill) of Center, MO.
GRANDCHILDREN: Bryce Kraft, Marissa Stice (Kyle) and Morgan Martin.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Penelope Kraft and Elliana Stice.
BROTHER: Dana Lugering (Rose)
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his wife, John was also preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Ann Lugering, his parents, step mother Marian Lugering, brothers Mark Lugering along with his wife Phyllis and Rory Lugering in childhood.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to West Quincy Gun Club.
The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    So sorry to hear this!I worked with John for many years on the Projection Welder at Titan Wheel. I was honored to be his friend. A great Dad,worker,put his family first!I. I will miss you John.
