Stacey L. Houston, age 54, of Quincy, IL, died with her family by her side in Blessing Hospital on April 22, 2025. Stacey was born in Quincy, IL on December 28, 1970, the daughter of Archie Houston and Shirley Vahle.

Stacey loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, friends. She enjoyed doing crafts and especially loved dancing. Stacey was known to spontaneously break into “The Worm” dance and finish her dance efforts with the splits. Stacey also owned and ran her own daycare for thirteen years.

Survivors include her three children: Anthony (Amber Hildenbrand) Wert, Cherish Wert, and Chase Owsley. Grandchildren: Harmony Wert, Zach Hildenbrand and Xavier Hildenbrand; and Drayten Owsley, Carter Owsley, Elaine Owsley, and Dalyce Owsley. Stacey is also survived by siblings Shawn Houston and Chris Smith.

Stacey was preceded in death by her son Jamie Owsley, father Archie Houston, her mother Shirley Vahle, and her stepfather Wayne Beeler.
